Purpose of award: To help North Carolina high school seniors who have performed community service.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must plan to attend four-year colleges or universities. Transcripts, three recommendation letters, applications and essays are required. Winners also receive laptop computers. No phone calls, please.
Target applicant: High school students
Minimum GPA: 3
Amount: $1,000.
Number of awards: 5.
