Purpose of award: To assist North Carolina students who have overcome significant adversity.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must have been residents of Chatham, Durham, Orange or Wake County for the past six months and must be legal residents of the U.S. Only those who have overcome significant adversity should apply. There are no age or income limitations, and the award may be used at technical or community colleges, four-year colleges or universities or vocational or trade programs.

Minimum GPA: None
Amount: Up to $5,000.

Deadline: April 1.
