Purpose of award: To provide financial assistance to students who want to work with exceptional children.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, either at the undergraduate level or as a North Carolina teacher seeking training, and must be training to work with special needs children up to the age of 21 in an educational setting. They must agree to teach at a North Carolina public school for at least one year after graduation.
