Purpose of award: To recognize Sikh students for academic achievement.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be accepted by or attend an accredited U.S. institution. Recipients are usually high school seniors or college students. Financial documents, a photo, copies of recent transcripts, essays and names and addresses of five Sikhs in the community are required. Financial need is the most important criteria, but academic ability and involvement in Sikh activities is also considered. Candidates may be interviewed.
