Purpose of award: To recognize Dallas-area students for exemplary performance in school and the community.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be high school seniors from Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Rockwell, Parker or Tarrant counties. Applicants are individually interviewed by judges and evaluated in terms of academics, extracurricular activities, leadership skills, volunteer activities, community involvement and commitment.
Target applicant: High school students
Minimum GPA: None
Amount: $500-$2,000.
Number of awards: 20. Scholarship may be renewable.
Deadline: February 13.
