Purpose of award: To encourage students to make posters promoting traffic safety.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be in kindergarten through eighth grade. There are three grade-level divisions: K-grade 2, grades 3-5 and grades 6-8. Students must use one of twenty slogans. Entries are judged on originality, presentation, visual impact and relationship to traffic safety. The winning posters will be reproduced in catalogs. There are grand, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and judge's level winners. Local AAA club representatives can provide additional information.
Target applicant: Junior high students or younger
Minimum GPA: None
Amount: $5,000-$25,000.
Number of awards: 5.
Deadline: January 16.
