Purpose of award: To promote students who have potential to contribute to the field of optics.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be high school, undergraduate or graduate students enrolled full-time in programs in the field of optics, optical science and engineering. Students must be members of SPIE, although they may submit a membership application along with the scholarship application. Applicants must also submit two sealed letters of reference.
