Purpose of award: To provide financial assistance (0 North Carolina residents with financial need who are attending North Carolina colleges and universities.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be enrolled for at least six credit hours per semester in an undergraduate degree-seeking program at an eligible North Carolina institution and meet satisfactory academic progress requirements. Students who meet the same criteria as the Federal Pell Grant and those with an Estimated Family Contribution of $5,000 or less are eligible for the scholarship.

Amount: Up to $2,500.
Number of awards: 30,000.

How to apply: Qualified students who submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be considered.
