Purpose of award: To support the descendents of veterans who demonstrate financial need and who are residents of Maine.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or vocational technical school and be U.S. citizens. A parent or grandparent must be a veteran, verified by a copy of military discharge papers with the application. Applicants must have good character and believe in the American way of life.

Amount: $1,000.
