NONTRADITIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS OF JEFFERSON COMMUNITY COLLEGE, USA

Description
New, returning, transfer and continuing students may be eligible to apply for the Jefferson Community College
Nontraditional Scholarship for the 2012-13 academic year. The scholarship is $500 per year, awarded in $250 increments per semester. Students are welcome to apply for
the scholarship for a second year, but will compete with that year’s applicant pool.

Eligibility

1. Over 24 years of age and not dependent upon your parents for support.
2. A veteran of the U.S. armed forces.
3. Married.
4. Supporting your own child.
5. Have received a bachelor’s degree.
6. Apply and be accepted into a degree program at Jefferson Community College.
7. Apply for financial aid by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available in the financial aid office – please contact this office regarding filing options.
8. Enroll at least half time (6 credit hours) for the Fall 2012 semester.
9. Demonstrate financial need.

Please submit the following documents:
1. A completed Jefferson Community College Nontraditional Scholarship Application.
2. A personal statement. (Guidelines provided in application)
