Description
This new form of financial support will be known as a Whitworth Senior Scholarship Award. The award is targeted to Postgraduate Research leading to a PhD or EngD applicants. The succesful candidates will benefit Up to £7,500 p.a. for a maximum period of three years. The Award may be held concurrently with other forms of financial support (except with any other Whitworth Award).

Eligibility
- Applicants must be a British, Commonwealth or European Union Citizen.
- Applicants must be normally resident in the United Kingdom and have lived here for the last 3 years.
- Applicants must have recently completed an engineering apprenticeship for a minimum of 2 years, within the past 6 years, before commencing undergraduate studies.
- Applicants must have obtained or will obtain admission to, or have already commenced, a postgraduate research degree programme.
